Consisting of one continuous watercolour [with mixed media additions] on a sheet of paper 8 metres long, and concertinered into an A4 sized portrait format book. Ribbon ties and bookmark.
This unique book features as an important prop element throughout the movie.

The final “Art in Action” was held at Waterperry Gardens, Oxfordshire this weekend; July 14th – 17th 2016.
Artist Carole King showed her hand-bound books which sport covers of her own designs; each screen-printed at her studio at Nant, Newcastle Emlyn.
Her work could be found in the Market Place at stand G2. The display changed day by day to reflect the variety of books and associated sheets of gift wrapping available.

Exhibition: Shape-shifters and Spirit-lifters at Cardigan Guildhall

A new exhibition, Artery 2 – Shape-shifters and Spirit-lifters, at Cardigan Guildhall, will display high quality craft and art from the popular local artists’ group The Square Pegs and their guests.
Work will be featured from The Square Pegs themselves; Glenn Ibbitson, Carole King, Annie Coombs, Chris Coombs, Yvette Brown and Steve Thompson plus a selection of local guest artists and makers.
“We display high quality craft and art designed to put smiles on the faces of its audience,” explained Square Peg Glenn Ibbitson. “ We will be joined by some old friends and some new artists and makers who are already making quite a mark on the creative landscape of West Wales.
“Fine artists Andrew Francis, Dick Evans, Jan Brown and Clare Howell will be adorning the gallery walls with paintings, collages and prints. Hilary Coole and Barry Farmer are showing ceramics brimful of character along with blacksmith Roy Thedvall and jeweller Rhiannon Weatherhead.”
The exhibition can be seen in the Corn Exchange Gallery, Cardigan Guildhall from Monday 30th May – Saturday 4th June, 10.00 am – 5.00 pm.
